A DAY IN THE LIFE
OF A LABBER

It starts with a cup of coffee and ends with new questions to explore

8:10 am

On clear days, the route to work often winds through the bustling streets of Peshawar, alive with vendors and early morning activity. Typically, however, the BRT provides a quick, reliable 15-minute ride across the city. A true perk of Peshawar life: efficient transit that flows with the city’s vibrant pace.

8:58 am

Starting off with a warm cup of coffee and all ready to kickstart the day!

10:15 am

After a calm start to the day, it’s time to switch into research mode. Laptops are open, data is analyzed, and new updates are shared—all happening simultaneously under one roof.

12:34 pm

A part of the day is dedicated to interactive sessions, where team members gather to brainstorm, share ideas, and engage in insightful discussions.

1:45 pm

Lunch breaks are always special, thanks to RMI’s award-winning cafeteria that serves all sorts of needs apart from the regular menu. Off work conversations with colleagues makes it even more special!

2:17pm

Its time for some to rush back to the wetlab! The biologists are busy carefully carrying out their experiment, while the comms team can sometimes be spotted capturing their content.

5:12 pm

We’re always up for a quick Tekken match to brings the day to a close with a high-energy gaming session (some folks do inadvertently start talking science during all of this though).

6:29 pm

Apart from the odd nocturnal Labber or two, as the day winds down, and the sun begins to set, the last person at the Lab makes sure we save energy before heading home, ready to embrace a new day ahead.
