What We Look For
- An eye for detail with a genuine interest in understanding the nuances in our population and solving for it.
- Sound knowledge of as many of the following is preferable: research methods, data collection, statistical analysis, and data management tools.
- Academic integrity and adherence to ethical guidelines are critical.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with adaptability to challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in designing clinical studies in areas that are of interest to the Lab. This includes developing the study protocol between the Lab and our collaborating clinical investigators, developing patient history forms and consent forms in anticipation of an IRB application for ethical approval.
- Undertaking patient enrollment for one or more studies including patient consent, collection of patient history, data (EMR, scans, biopsies) from hospitals and their biological samples.
- Carry patient follow ups during the duration of the studies.
- Ensuring compliance with all Lab ethical guidelines and data protection policies.
- Maintaining accurate records for each sample, including fulfilling all PML biorepository requirements and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- You can also have an independent research project under the guidance from the PI and peers.
- Participate in weekly meetings to share progress, exchange insights, and collaborate with the team.
- Organize and attend journal clubs, research sprints, and workshops to foster learning and creativity within the community.
